Woodland Advocate Program

Trust/Commitment

The Woodland Advocate concept is based on developing trust between Advocates and their neighbors. This trust is built on listening to the needs of the landowner and helping them reach their goals. If landowners do not trust the Advocate, there will be no relationship. Advocates will not let their encouragement become harassment and they must be better listeners than speakers. Each landowner will only do what they are comfortable doing and the Advocate’s job is to help them be comfortable.
